Disable generic layout buttons in ALV grid

Hi,

I am trying to disable (or make them invisible) the generic ALV buttons (Layout change, select & save) using the class method 'CL_SALV_FUNCTIONS_LIST->SET_GROUP_LAYOUT'. But somehow it just doesn't work. It works fine with the method 'CL_SALV_FUNCTIONS_LIST->SET_GROUP_FILTER' if I want remove the filter button.
