Hello to all the Sap abap gurus out there.
I have been planning for a long long long time to start learning SAP ABAP, it was only until recently that I found out that I really need to start learning it and !mastering it for the certification. I have been looking at blogs, communities and also talking to several people about how to start, where do I go to start, how to can I start and what do I need to start. I have been completely and utterly lost 
. I would really like someone to guide me on this, I am willing to put in any number of hours to learn and grow, butfor some reason I have not been able to start. I have tried downloading netweaver (several versions of it) and none of them I succeeded in logging in or typing one letter of code. I tried downloading some of the ides from a website called consulot. Again the result was the same I was not able to do anything with it. Honestly I'm lost.
I have a win8 PC, 8gb ram and 2.0ghz i5 processor. Initially I thought it was my PC that was the issue and maybe I needed to upgrade , but I was told sap ides don't depend too much on that and my PC was fair enough to run the application.
I would be more than happy of someone could guide me. Really really grateful to everyone who read this long strenuous post.
