Issue with connecting BEx query on WebI

I received an error:

com.businessobjects.sdk.core.server.CommunicationException$UnexpectedServerException: [[error.openSapBwBrowsingSessionFailed] 0] <<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?><ConnectionString>

when selecting the BICs OLAP Connection in WebI->BEx (Create a Document->Select a Data Source). The BICs OLAP Connection was created in IDT and the connection was successful when tested in IDT.

Please advise how to resolve the issue.
